i just bought my ticket to go to Finland: the morning of May 28th. a friday. i'll arrive in Helsinki in the early afternoon. and then who knows? i'm hoping to find work while i'm there and do a bunch of gallavanting around Europe, or my stay will probably only be for 2 months or so. that means there are almost exactly 4 months left of my time in Iceland. so for those of you that are thinking about visiting, May would be a good month to drop in.
also, the band that i was playing with here broke up. which is probably actually a good thing. it was difficult to get everyone together these last couple of months, and it was beginning to be quite discouraging. the drummer, Hjörtur, just moved up north near Akureyri, and this project was kind of his baby.
